Heather is dedicated to capturing the spirit world on film, but is none too bright.
Heather Myrick is a mortal. She, along with her cameraman/younger brother Josh and her soundman Mike Sanchez, were commissioned by Gravenville's university to create a film. To this end, she lead the expedition to search for the occult tome in the cabin in the woods. Just like the last three students who went searching for the book, all three of them attempted the ritual and had their souls devoured in order to bring the Darkling into this world (where it was promptly captured in an ambush set up by Dr. Krauss).
It's unknown what became of her after the event.
