Tricksters are a type of frightener. They consist of nature spirits in the form of anthropomorphic animals, similar to cartoons in both appearance and behavior.
Tricksters have benign powers, more in line with making mischief and messing with mortal sensibilities than actually scaring people. However, their ability to take physical forms - including those which shouldn't exist - can be very startling to onlookers. Being nature spirits, they also have control over plants.
